독일 프러시아 - 1871년 보불전쟁 승전 기념 탈러

 

 

 

프로이센의 국왕이자, 독일 제국의 초대 황제 빌헬름 1세(Wilhelm I. 1797년 3월 22일 ~ 1888년 3월 9일)의 초상 도안이 매력적인 탈러화입니다. 

 

 

역사적인 동전. 
어떤 나라들은 정복, 축전, 군주 즉위 등과 같은 중요한 행사의 기념물로 동전을 사용했습니다. 독일 국가들, 특히 프로이센은 1861년 크뢰농(즉위) 탈러와 1871년 지게스(전승) 탈러까지 아름다운 동전들의 긴 시리즈를 주조했습니다. 이 동전들 중 일부는 메달처럼 발행 즉시 캐비닛에 보관됩니다. 만약 문학 작품이 파괴되고, 현대 도시들과 그들의 기념물들이 폐허와 쇠락에 빠진다고 상상할 수 있다면, 그러한 메달 동전들은 가장 오래가는 기념물이 될 것이고, 프로이센의 왕들의 역사는 박트리아의 위대한 왕조의 역사가 최근에 회복된 것처럼 미래의 화폐학자들에 의해 추적될 것입니다.

 

Historical Coins. Some states have utilized their coins as monuments of important events, such as conquests, jubilees, the accession of monarchs, etc. The German states, especially Prussia, have struck a long series of beautiful coins down to the Krônung's Thaler of 1861, and the Sieges Thaler of 1871. Some of these coins are at once treasured up in cabinets in the manner of medals. If it is possible to conceive literature destroyed, and modern cities and their monuments in ruins and decay, such medallic coins would become the most durable memorials, and the history of the kings of Prussia would be traced out by future numismatists as that of the great dynasties of Bactria has lately been recovered.
